Nothing beats grabbing a freshly brewed coffee from Cibo on Prospect Road on an early Sunday morning after being up most of the evening prior servicing the residents of prospect with emergency plumbing and gas requirements.
Given that Prospect is approx 5 kilometres from the city of Adelaide and 14 kilometres from the Adelaide International Airport getting a plumber prospect need never be a hard task. It is most likely these two main factors that have made Prospect a desired suburb of Adelaide to live in and the perfect destination for Mayfair Plumbing and Gasfitting to provide Perfect Plumbers Prospect.
Mayfair Plumbing and Gasfitting have for a long time now been Providing Plumbers Prospect for all types of Gas and Plumbing issues, whether it be Hot Water Service Repairs, Hot Water Installations, Hydro Jet Drain Cleaning, Blocked Drains, Bathroom Renovations, Backflow Valve Installations and Testing, Gasfitting or Emergency Plumbers Prospect there is absolutely no job that our licensed Master Plumbers can't help you with.
Engaging the services of a Prospect Plumber who has been around the neighbourhood for many years means that they are going to be familiar with the lay of the land so to speak. Knowing where the Government Sewer Inspection opening is in the case of a blocked drain prospect, Identifying where to isolate the water to the property in case of a burst water pipe prospect and knowing how to turn off the natural gas in the case of an Emergency Gas job needing to be performed are all crucial pieces of knowledge and can save our customers huge amounts of time and money, that's why you need a Prospect Plumber and Gasfitting company, Mayfair Plumbing and Gasfitting.
Given our massive presence in and around Prospect its not unusual to get a call from customers in near by suburbs such as Ovingham, Medindie, Medindie Gardens, Nailsworth, Sefton Park, Kilburn, Brompton and Fitzroy looking for a plumber and of course we are only to happy to help out.
Many of the originally built properties throughout Prospect still have the earthenware drain lines installed which incorporate a boundary trap where the properties sewer drains connect to the main sewer infrastructure in the street. The reason behind the boundary trap was to eliminate any rodents coming up from the sewers and entering the occupiers houses. Today this is no longer Plumbing issue in Prospect and these boundary traps which continually hold water are more of a nuisance than any good to the owners. Because these boundary traps always hold water they attract tree roots and it leaves the owners with constant blocked drains in prospect and gives our plumbers prospect lots of work.
If you have a portable gas room heater you will know just how amazing these little appliances really are. Whether it be a natural gas or LPG fuelled heater it doesn't matter, when it comes to locally heating a certain part of the house or a specific room these heaters are a really good option for saving money.
There are many different varieties available today and also many different brands to choose from such as Rinnai, Paloma and Everdure and with all of this also comes a wide range of costs, some heaters are programmable, some have remote controls and some are more powerful than others.
Like every appliance in the world today these need regular maintenance to ensure the longevity of this heater. These portable gas heaters are designed to be easily maintained and as long as the manufacturers guidelines are always followed then regular maintenance is easy. BUT if you are not comfortable please always contact a licensed gasfitter.
The most important part of looking after your heater is allowing it to breathe easy and that means that the filters must be cleaned often. Now when it comes to the frequency of cleaning this will all depend on the environment in which the heater operates in, the more dust in the air the more likely that the filters will be needing more frequent attention.
I personally have seen a heater in operation that has dirty filters and it makes a big difference to the appliance, if you can imagine running a marathon with a rag over your face and then removing it again, the difference is huge. This is the difference between a clean filter on your heater and a dirty one.
In a recent video which I filmed I specifically talk about the Rinnai Convector style of gas room heater, but what I'am actually talking about in this clip refers to all types of portable gas room heaters and we can all care for our portable appliances which in most cases have been an initial out lay of approx $1,000 each so we want them to last longer than just a couple of years.
Hopefully after watching my short video on caring for your gas room heater it has given you a bit of help on how to care for your heater and maximise the life span and efficiency of the heater.
In the video you could see just how dirty the filters actually can get and what the new cleaned filters look like, it truly does make a huge difference!!
I also touched on how the actual operation of the heater is drastically hampered by dirty clogged up filters and just how much difference this can make. If you do notice that the efficiency of your appliance has slowed down and the filter button is not on it may just pay to have a quick look at the filters and double check that they are not dirty. The two appliances in this video did not have the clean filter lights on yet the efficiency of the units was still hampered, so it pays to keep an eye on them.
As I also mentioned that if you do not feel comfortable looking at this on your appliance please always contact a licensed gas plumber to do the work for you.
