Providing quality plumbing services for shop fit outs and how we at Mayfair Plumbing and Gasfitting can help, what ever your shop fitting needs.
My week kicked off as they all usually do, flat out busy after a wet weekend in Adelaide, but it wasn't until Tuesday this week that things really took an interesting turn for the good!
I was approached by RM2 a local shop fitting company to supply a quotation for plumbing services on two tenancy shop fit outs. Later Tuesday I attended the site which is located on the corner of Ashwin Parade and South Road Thebarton known as the Brick Works Markets. The two tenancies which I was asked to quote where a bakery and a cafe. The underfloor drainage had already been installed to suit the new tenancy lay outs in a product known as HDPE piping but the hot and cold pipe work had not yet been installed just a 20mm isolation valve for cold water in the ceiling space for each tenancy had been supplied. The quotation was to supply and install new Rehau pipes to each location for the sinks, taps and hot water systems and then to install the various components as supplied by RM2 Shop Fitters. My quotation was successful and that's when my week got really busy.
So I then proceeded to commence on site Friday, first thing was to get inducted on site by the principal contractor BADGE and get our Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) approved after the formalities of all this were completed it was time to get down to business and things were moving fast as the opening date for the new Brick Works Market site is Thursday the 25th of June 2015 and as you may be able to tell by the images above there is a little bit to be done still.
My first task was to get the over head Rehau pipe work installed from the cold water isolation valve and also the hot water Rehau pipe work distributed around the tenancy in order to feed the various sinks and appliances. This work had to be performed quick smart as the gyprock was being installed very very fast. I managed to get all of my first fixing pipe work installed by Saturday night making way for a busy week next week.
During this busy week my Makita 18v Cordless Drill broke down on me so I will need to purchase a new drill on Sunday in order to allow me to proceed next week. In my week coming up at the Brick Works Market site I will be performing what is known as Second Fix or Chroming Off, its the part of the project where all the taps, sinks, ice makers, fridges and hot water units all get installed. Once this work has been performed its time for the commissioning of all these various items, making sure they all work properly, don't leak water and produce the right temperature from the Rheem 50 litre electric hot water services we are using.
