Its been long time between drinks in Adelaide when we talk about the last time a good amount of rain fell from the sky and its so easy to neglect our storm water drains underground, we all have so much more important day to day things happening in our lives to be thinking about storm water drains UNTIL it rains heavily and that's not far away. I have already been busy over the past couple of weeks assisting my customers with there blocked storm water lines in preparation for the harsh winter rains which we are soon expecting in Adelaide. The most recent blocked storm water line which I attended to with my state of the art Hydro Jetting Machine was out in Adelaide's Northern Suburbs in the council district of Tea Tree Gully. My customer had recently built a beautiful nice new home and had the rear court yard concreted and I believe that the slurry etc from this may have found its way down the storm water drain pipes, over the summer months we haven't had much rain to speak of and this slurry material has set like a rock inside of the storm water drain lines, with this comes blocked storm water drains, see images bellow!! Many of the domestic type storm water drain pipes in Adelaide need the occasional bit of maintenance from a Hydro Jet Drain Cleaner to keep the flow going in there storm water lines, this is because most houses either sit level with the street water table or only just above it. This being the case it means the storm water lines are continually holding water and this allows silt to settle in the drain slowing down the flow of water during a storm. But with yearly flushing from a Hydro Jet Drain Cleaning Machine it can help to avoid the need for a Plumbing Emergency if your drains over flow. In this weeks blog I have also attached one of my you tube videos. In the video below you will get to see what the hydro jet drain cleaning machine actually looks like, you will also get the opportunity to look at the different types of pipes and fittings that are used when installing drains in South Australia and finally it will give you a better understanding of why only a Hydro Jetter will get your drains cleared fast and why the conventional electric eel cannot. After viewing my short 5 minute you tube video you can now understand a little bit more about plumbing and how our plumbers at Mayfair Plumbing and Gasfitting handle blocked storm water lines. Because of the unique compact set up which we operate our Hydro Jetter in this enables our blocked drain plumbers to get into various tight locations others may not be able to. We clear blocked storm water lines any where around Adelaide, from Para Hills to Magill, from Springfield to Burnside, from Semaphore to Glenelg and from Woodville to Port Adelaide just to name a few locations, being based only 5 minutes from the CBD of Adelaide in Hawthorn gives us huge flexibility to be able to go anywhere to help our customers with there blocked storm water drains and at anytime of day or night 24/7 we can unblock drains.
